According to American Nurses Association (2012) there will be a 1.2 million nurse shortage by 2025. Remember is not that there are not enough beds in the hospital; the issue is there are not enough nurses to care for the patients. The Nursing STEM Success program could solve this problem over time.  We need more young people to purse nursing and other STEM careers!

Community Projects

1. Mentoring 6-12 students & Adults interested in Nursing. (Mission – To help educate and train underserved and diverse populations of middle school, high school & adults to become aware of nursing & other STEM  careers.)

2. Educating K-5 students interested in Nursing. (Mission: To help educate and train underserved and diverse populations of school-aged children to become aware of nursing & other STEM  careers.)

3. Operation Santa Nurse – Holiday Toy & Food Giveaway (MISSION: In collaboration with Marine Toys for Tots Program and others, to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. In addition, to collaborate with food suppliers to provide less fortunate families with food at Christmas time.)

4. Back to School – School Supplies & Shoe Giveaway (Coming 2022)  (MISSION – In collaboration others, to collect school supplies and new or gently used shoes to distribute to less fortunate children at school supply giveaway events.)

5. Nursing Education & Career Job Fair (Coming 2023) (Mission: To help educate and train underserved and diverse populations of adults interested in nursing education & job opportunities.)
